Good luck! Today we’ll be reading from Chapter 27 to the end of Chapter 37, let’s jump in!
Please be warned, the following section will include spoilers for Bonded by Thorns by Elizabeth Helen, from chapters 27 to 37. Please only read on if you’ve finished this section!

For the first time, Kel and Rosalina are eating alone. It’s a bit awkward initially, but Kel is his true self. He tells her it’s rude to read at dinner and PICKS HER UP BY HER BOOK??? New couple goal unlocked. When she falls, he catches her and oh my gosh, the tension!!! It ignites some kind of idea within her on how to break the curse and she decides she needs to find Farron right away. I mean… don’t leave him right now for another prince? That’s ruder than reading!
On her way, Rosalina realises she’s starting to have conflicting feelings about being here. She wouldn’t mind staying. She definitely seems more at home here than she did in Orca Cove!
She finally finds Farron and he’s indisposed… I feel like I should’ve seen it coming that Dayton and Farron are together but I absolutely did not! Did you??? They catch her and Rosalina is ALL KINDS of flustered. This is gonna be awkward!
We’re finally meeting the illustrious Prince of Thorns! I don’t like him. He’s giving major villain vibes. In true superhero form, Kel appears to save her! There’s definitely some kind of history between him and Caspian but I’m not too sure what it is yet. Caspian hints that Kel and the other princes are running out of time. Is there a time limit on their curse???
After narrowly escaping Kel’s shift, Rosalina realises it wasn’t very nice to leave him at dinner and feels a bit guilty. She goes to find him in the Winter wing. Still in wolf form but definitely calmer, Kel won’t come near her. She starts to tell him a story and it seems like she’s comforting him? That’s really sweet! What’s sweeter is, she fell asleep and wakes up wrapped in his fur as he settles her onto her own bed. What’s even sweeter AGAIN is that when she wakes, there’s a pile of snow by her bed. Did Kel sleep there all night?
Ok… so, there’s a naked girl outside demanding to see Kel and that’s not even the weirdest part, this apparently happens quite often??? She was sent by The Prince of Thorns to torment Kel. I hate this guy.
The other princes, bar Kel, make an appearance and things are a lil awks with Farron, Dayton couldn’t care less! Farron ends up explaining himself, they’re not exclusive but it makes him feel alive. I think he still likes Rosie?
They go get Kel, but it turns out Ciara wasn’t only sent to torment Kel this time. She has a scroll from Caspian himself to deliver to Rosalina. What a jerk!
The full moon is coming up and we learn that in this fantasy world, they won’t be forced to shift on a full moon. A little curse free night off! Farron and Dayton are heading back to their realms for the night, Ezryn is hunting goblins and Kel is moping I guess?
Rosalina has a theory about mates that involves a lot of proximity and I think it kind of makes sense? She comes up with the idea for them to host a ball, Kel isn’t interested but the other princes seem down!
Dayton and Rosalina are left alone and from Day we learn a bit more about Kel. He’s not really interested in finding a mate, he’s been in love before and it didn’t end well. I have a feeling I know who he was in love with, but I’d love to hear your theories!
After some convincing, Dayton lets her to to the Summer realm with her. She shows off her look and Dayton storms off. Rude? I thought he liked her! These men are SO confusing!
Once he’s back, he ends up grilling her about her home life and hints that he would have thought she’d have a beau of her own back home. She tells him she kind of does but Dayton isn’t too sold on Lucas – GET IN LINE!!!
Finding his mate doesn’t go as planned, Dayton is his sleazy self! I do kind of feel like that might be his way of protecting himself though, like by not taking himself too seriously? We leave the pair in the Summer realm as they split up for three hours to find some fun!

I think Dayton is totally falling in love with Rosalina, but he just doesn’t realise it yet. Can’t wait for when that finally happens. i have no idea who Kel’s lover was but I’m not sure I care. My favourite princes at the moment are Dayton and Farron and I don’t really care about the rest of them. Would love to see more of Dayton and Farron, especially together with Rosalina. I think Rosalina probably also has some kind of powers but what, that would be cool to learn soon. // entered the giveaway @lyrasbookdiary
I need more of Farron and Dayton omgggggg. I would be content to forget every other character for an MMF love story between those two and rose! I’ve entered the giveaway 💕 @emonbooks
I wonder if it was the Prince of Thorns. That would be a fun twist.
Maybe she is part Fae too or it could just have to do with her being all of their mates.
I do think he likes her but he doesn’t know how to deal with that like. Also, she’s off limits so maybe that has something to do with it too.

I feel like it’s pretty obvious that Kel’s lover was Caspian. Everyone keeps referring to his as something of Kel’s, but then they cut themselves off before finishing their sentence. Caspian is always taunting Kel too, and someone said something about Caspian hurting Kel I think? I feel like Rosalina is gonna be the high queen or something of all the realms. I bet she’ll end up with everybody’s magic. I think Dayton genuinely cares for Rosalina and the princes, but he doesn’t know how to show it. I will be entering @zandaandlexiread
I don’t know if I would say that Dayton is falling in love with Rosalina yet. I don’t know if he recognizes those kinds of emotions yet. Maybe later on in the story, assuming some more character development happens.
I have a feeling that Rosalina is part fae. Probably something to do with her mother, who has disappeared.
Also, I think Kel was with the Prince of Thorns. Which is why he’s hurting so much. But, I think that was mentioned below.

This chunk of the book does make me feel that Rosalina does have some sort of fae connection with the world – however it could be because of her having a fae mate/s. I do think that Dayton does feel some sort of connection – maybe even a mate one – for Rosalina, but his past and coping mechanisms are keeping him back from being with who he wants in a romantic sense.
As for Kel, I do think that he had a relationship with a certain dark prince, I mean the authors don’t shy away from MM relationships (we love bi rep!).
Dayton 100% restraining himself from his usual chaotic self because of Rose. He wants her to freely love but at the same time he doesn’t want any ‘outside’ males to touch her.
Kel and Caspien where once lovers. But something must have gone horrible wrong as Caspien has cursed Kel with thorns. Also I think they have a bargain and it’s to do with Kel’s mate. I also Caspien might be linked to Rose in some way and maybe her mother. Why hasn’t there been any more clues to her mother in the fae realm? I want to know more. Also does Caspien give you Jareth, the Goblin King from the labyrinth, vibes?

I’m not sure. I do believe he is attracted to her and likes her but I don’t think any romantic feelings are involved. I do hope he has romantic feelings for Farron!

Dinner for 2 with Keldarion where she ends up in his arms & they both come to a realization – just not the same 1. She was focused on the passage that helped her have a “eureka” moment about the mate bond while he was focused on her & how she made him feel while she was spider monkey wrapped around him. 😅 Dayton & Farron’s spicy scene followed by Caspian witnessing Rose’s solo spice brought on by witnessing Dayton & Farron. Purple eyes! Caspian, Prince of Thorns, was the person who saved her when she fell into the gully upon 1st entering the Enchanted Vale. Keldarion comes to her rescue but stars losing control of his power, his beast, & he asks Rose to distract him (very Twilight Edward of him). Rose has dinner with Keldarion in his bedroom after he regained control where she fell asleep teasing to him, & he stayed by her bed long enough to leave a pile of snow for her to step on after returning her to her room. Caspian sent another naked Fae woman to the castle (these are all apparently “mid-bang”) to see Keldarion. I get the sense that Keldarion & Caspian have a romantic history or something & what the Fae woman said also supports my theory that Keldarion was the “betrayed his realm” Farron mentioned. Farron & Rose have their 1st interaction after she caught him & Dayton in the act. Keldarion bears the Sword of the Protector as in the Sworn Protector of the Realms that the Queen left when she was last seen 500 years ago. The door to the other Realms has a 5th option: a rose. The symbols Rose shouldn’t’ve been able to see as a magicless human. 🤔 They’re going to have a ball in the Winter Realm, but Keldarion is refusing to go because he wants to sulk around the castle like he has for the past 25 years. *Rosalina has so many different names: 1) Rosalina 2) Rose (Papa) 3) Rosie (Farron) 4) Blossom (Dayton) 5) Princess (Caspian) 6) Pumpkin (Lucas)* Rose convinced Dayton to take her to his Summer Realm. *Divine weapons: 1) Sword (Winter), 2) Hammer (Spring?), 3) Trident (Summer), 4) Lance (Fall?), 5) Bow (Rose/Queen/Castletree/Briar?)* Of course, Rose was drawn to the Bow. Flavia (Summer, seamstress) is a small goat. Dayton tells Rose about Keldarion having a “great love” before. Dayton is struck speechless & surly by Rose’s effort of fitting into his Realm, but she thinks he’s unimpressed. Rose finally tells someone (Dayton) about Lucas – he’s unimpressed (as are we all), & she decides to find a Summer Fae man to have “a damn good lay” which surprises Dayton. Dayton keeps teasing & (kind of) rejecting her, so she says they should meet up in 3hrs rather than the 2hrs Dayton suggested (why do I feel like something bad is going to happen in that time 😬).

A:
1.) Caspian, Prince of Thorns, is my guess.
2.) I’m still thinking she either has magic she’s unaware of (maybe from her mom – either the Enchantress or somehow related to the Fae Queen) or the castle is responding to her because she’s going to break the curse over it.
3.) Yes. I think he’s resisting because Keldarion specifically said they weren’t too touch her, &/or he’s scared of how strongly he feels for her. Maybe it’s because of Farron.

I haven’t read up to this point yet but I wanted to let you know that I’ve entered the giveaway @nicoledreamsofbooks , I’ve just started day two and haven’t read any spoilers!
I think Kels lover was Caspian, and maybe they a falling out so the Prince of Thorns in scorned and that’s why he is acting out. Rosalina definitely has some kind of dormant power of some kind. I think Dayton likes her but doesn’t want to so is just ignoring it.
