Happy Friday, I hope you’ve had a good week!
It’s nearly time to begin our final readalong, and step into the world of our September Romantasy featured book: The Half King by Melissa Landers. We’ll be beginning on Monday 28th October, reading a section per day until we finish on Friday 1st November. I’m very excited to be reading this book with you all!
Please note: this book is categorised as Adult within the publishing industry and is suitable for readers aged 18+. We recommend checking the age rating and content warnings before reading!
If you’re interested in joining the readalong, here is the schedule we’ll follow so that you can plan your reading:
October 28th: Beginning – Chapter 6
October 29th: Chapter 7 – Chapter 12
October 30th: Chapter 13 – Chapter 19
October 31st: Chapter 20 – Chapter 27
November 1st: Chapter 28 – End
As the readalong will take place over 5 days, we’ll read approximately 94 pages per day. If this is too much to fit into your day, don’t worry, you can always revisit the posts when you’re ready to discuss each section!
There will be spoilers for each section, so we can freely share all of our thoughts on what has just happened and our predictions to come!
As always there will be a readalong exclusive competition to win your next box for free! We always believe reading should be encouraged! Details on how to enter will come soon!
Instagram will remain a spoiler-free zone, but please make sure to tag us in your readalong stories when you get ready for a reading session. We often repost these and we love seeing your cosy setup and the excitement that you share at diving back into the story! It keeps us all motivated and there’s nothing quite like knowing that we are all on this adventure together.
If you take Instagram photos of the book, you might also find your photo being featured in a post too (with credit, of course!). Just remember to tag your Instagram photos with the #FairyLoot hashtag. We’ll also post reminders for the readalong on our Instagram stories (we know they often come in handy!).

I will definitely be taking part in the readlong, I’ve been slacking previous months but I just done the YA and have found it so easy to follow along and loved sharing my thoughts are each sections. Looking forward to this one as well,
