Hello Fairy Friends! And, welcome back!

Our 6th Readalong starts on Monday! We’re reading ‘To Best The Boys‘ by Mary Weber, which is our book of the month for our March 3rd Anniversary box. It’s been 3 years already, what?!

This book focuses Rhen, who’s doesn’t want to follow the society expectations for women. She wants to be a scientist! As her town falls prey to a deadly disease, Rhen and her father are in a race against time to find a cure. Especially since her mother is infected and she has little time left. Rhen decides that the best way to save her mother is by entering the Labyrinth, which is a yearly competition for applicants to win a chance at a scholarship to the best University in the land. There’s just one problem, it’s for males only. With her cousin Seleni, Rhen decides to go against the rules and take matters into her own hands, starting with disguising herself as a boy so that she can enter the dangerous Labyrinth and try to win herself this scholarship. OoooOooooOoo!

Friends, I’m beyond excited to read this book with you. It’s definitely going to very exciting! If you’ve participated with us before, you know the drill! But if you’re new, welcome!

We really hope you will join us all in reading ‘To Best The Boys‘ together. We host this with the goal of bringing people together and discussing the book as a FairyLoot community. This really is just a great big buddy read! So how does this Readalong work? It’s quite easy really.

Every day I, your host for this Readalong, will post some discussion points or observations from the section of the book allocated for that day. This Readalong will last over the course of 4 days, from April 22nd – 25th.  The below chapters are inclusive! The reading schedule is as follows:

22nd April: Chapters 1 – 7

23rd April: Chapters 8 – 15

24th April: Chapters 16 – 22

25th April: Chapters 23 – End

Each day we will tackle approximately 70-75 pages. If this is too much or too little for your usual reading speed, please feel free to adjust to your schedule! There’s absolutely no pressure if you want to read at your own pace and do your own thing. The daily posts will ready and waiting for you to still join in and discuss!

There will be spoilers for that allocated book section so we can freely share our thoughts for what just happened and predictions as to what will follow! I’m very excited to hear your thoughts and opinions!
